Weekly Language Corners
The East Asian Studies Program holds weekly language corners in Chinese (beginning and advanced), Japanese, and Korean so that language students can interact with native speakers in an informal social environment.

Join the East Asian Studies at Hopkins group on Facebook.  Meet alum working in Asia.  Learn about internship, research, and employment opportunities. Read the blogs of classmates studying abroad.

East Asian Studies Speaker Series
Recent topics include Chinese investment in Africa, readings from a Japanese-German poet, industrial upgrading in Latin America and East Asia, history of gender in China, and construction of Manchu power.

Research and Conference Travel Grants
The East Asian Studies Program will be offering travel grants to undergraduates and graduate students who would like to conduct research in East Asia, or present papers at professional academic conferences.
